What the Christian Bible Has to Say: |

. If you are fundamentalist Christian, you have almost certainly been falsely led you to believe that you are separate from nature. You are invited to examine Ecclesiastes 3:19 in the Christian Bible: "For that which befalls the sons of men befalls beasts; even one thing befalls them: as the one dies, so dies the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all [is] vanity." The Early church leaders needed soldiers and servants to do their bidding so they ignored this passage and focused, instead, on the Genesis 1:28 passage which says: "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth." King James Version. Essentially, early church leaders used this passage as license to rape, pillage, and plunder anything and everything. Many present-day church leaders are still preaching a multitude of antiquated, hand-me-down beliefs. The story that humans are separate for nature is just one of many. These beliefs foster behavior that is highly dysfunctional and extremely destructive.
