Upon gaining corporate control, we will immediately  stop all cutting in all company-owned or company- controlled Virgin Redwood Forests  and on all its virgin  forests of other species, as well.  

Since less than three percent of the nation's virgin forests are left, most lumber company forest lands will hold "second growth" forests.   These will need to be managed on a sustainable long-term basis.   The goal is to produce maximum yields while giving due consideration to the land and all the life forms that live on that land.  

All virgin forests, (redwoods  or other species)  will be sold to conservatory organizations at fair market value.   These sales will recover large sums of money.   This money will show stockholders that the company is still solvent.   Once the forests are safe, the stockholders can, if they choose, sell their stock and get their supporting/invested money back.   

A major piece of company re-organization is the concept called The Owner's Trust.     There is an entire page devoted to introducing this concept.     The Owner's Trust. '   

As second target for revision will be safeguarding  the employee's retirement moneys. '

Employees no longer required as lumberjacks will be offered such things as: 

     Paid training in ways to produce income outside the lumber industry.

     Other jobs within the company.

     Three years severance pay while maintaining their rights to their retirement assets on the stipulation that they cannot ever again work as a lumberjack.

Analysis will be made of the company assets and employee talent with the goal in mind of finding new and creative ways to use the assets and talent.   Additional considerations will be brought forth as this project evolves.   Professional talent will be enlisted in accomplishing this aspect of the project

Critics need to understand that a post-cutting-of-virgin-forests-economy is inevitable.   The only difference between what we are doing and what will eventually occur on its own is that:

1)     We will still have some of the virgin forests left.    

2)    The transition will occur sooner that it would without our intervention.    

3)   The transition although painful to some, will, in the long run, produce far fewer painful experiences.

 3)   Preserving the last remaining Virgin Redwood Forests will be a long-term blessing to all of humanity.
